You will study at the University of Applied Sciences (FHDW) in Bergisch Gladbach. You will be trained in our IT system house in Cologne-Deutz. The theoretical and practical phases alternate in blocks. You will start your studies on 01.10.2025.
Depending on your chosen specialisation, you can expect different modules in your studies, e.g. IT management, IT application development and economics. At the end of the dual study programme, you will graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree.
Variety!
During your internship, you will familiarise yourself with the various areas of the LVR. Your practical phases will primarily take place at LVR-InfoKom, LVR's system house, in the various departments and teams, such as the "IT Security", "Project Management" or "Server Applications" team. This degree programme should enable you to provide our customers with technically competent advice and solutions or to further develop the high quality standard in IT security. You will therefore familiarise yourself with these areas in particular and gain a comprehensive overview of our customers and their needs.
We involve you in exciting projects as early as the practical phases. During your dual study programme, you will be taught the necessary specialist skills as well as important methodological skills and key qualifications in a variety of ways. After completing your studies, we offer you excellent qualification and training options for your further professional development within LVR-InfoKom.

You have obtained the Abitur or the unrestricted entrance qualification for universities of applied sciences and have a good knowledge of maths, English and German. You also have mathematical and analytical thinking skills, the ability to work conceptually and a high level of social competence. Furthermore, you are prepared to work independently on learning content through self-study. You are committed, motivated and enjoy working in a team. You are characterised by a high level of technical understanding and an interest in the composition of hardware and software components.
